Our youth ministry is not about trying to simply help students survive the pressures they face; we want them to thrive in Jesus. God is ready to use young people to impact the world around them. We seek to give students the tools and encouragement they need to grow in their relationship with Jesus and begin following Him actively today.
Weekly Events (all occur in the youth chapel—the first door to your right if you enter the church by the east doors):
Sunday School (9:45-10:45am): We start the morning off right with some delicious breakfast (typically doughnuts, but occasionally there’s homemade breakfast burritos or muffins) and a short time of worship. Then we spilt into groups based on age and discuss a Bible passage with a teacher.
Sunday Night Youth (5:30-7:00pm): This is our smallest meeting of the week and has a laid-back, fun atmosphere. The main lesson involves a lot of interaction and discussion, which really draws students in. Every week we also have a game and a delicious dinner.
Wednesday Night Youth (6:30-8:00pm): This high-energy event gives a lot of space for building friendships. Students get to interact with each other and leaders as they eat dinner together and some youth volunteer to play games that are fun for everyone to watch. Our main lesson is given to the entire group, but then is reinforced by small group discussions. This is our largest weekly event and involves many students who have little or no prior church experience.
