What’s coming up in YOUTH???

April 15-16th:  Acquire the Fire
YOUTH convention, Municipal Auditorium with 7,000 area teens!
Concerts, speakers, bands, drama—an incredible event!!!
Cost:  $35.00 if paid by March 27th  (includes 3 meals Saturday)
$45.00 if paid March 28-April 6th
$50.00 if paid after April 6th
To Register:  Turn in signed registration form/parental release form with payment
Deadline:  April 13th

June 4th:  Christian Family Day at the “K”  : Kaufmann Stadium
K.C. Royals v. Texas Rangers, player testimonies, and Chris Tomlin concert!
Cost:  $15.00
Includes tailgate lunch at Maywood, transportation on bus to and from game, and a “view level
infield” ticket (upper deck near home plate)
To Register:  Turn in registration form with payment
Deadline:  May 22nd

June 26th-July 1st :  EXTREME Camp in Texas!
Teen Mania’s Extreme camping experience near Dallas
Cost:  $335.00
Includes all transportation to and from Maywood, lunch,
dinner, and lodging on June 26th, (Mon. –Fri. :  all camp
costs/fees, meals/lodging/activities), and dinner July 1st
while returning to Maywood.
Deposit due:  $25.00 by April 3rd
(registrations received after April 3rd will incur a $20 late fee)
Remaining balance due:  June 1st
To Register:  Turn in “camp forms” packet by May 11th with deposit
Forms turned in after May 11th must be accompanied by $10 late fee!
Deadline:  All registration forms should be turned in by May 11th!

July 18th-30th : MISSION:MEXICO YOUTH mission trip to Juarez, Mexico

A small group of youth and adults will be traveling to Juarez, a Mexican border town neighboring El Paso, Texas (an area of over 2.5 million people!)  YOUTH will be involved in leading children’s ministry, facility development ( painting/ cleaning/ hauling/ constructing, etc…), sports outreach, and other ministry with local Mexican churches, coordinated by Youth For Christ International’s “Project SERVE”.

Applicants should recognize that this trip is NOT intended as a recreational experience, but rather as a challenging and potentially very difficult ministry opportunity.  Trip participants will be required to attend several training sessions as a group in May and June, and should be prepared to undertake the challenge of fund-raising for this faith-based mission!
